Immediately you are surrounded with the histories of this wild west ghost town in New Mexico. Decorated with local artifacts and antiques bringing you back to a simpler time, when when grain was a necesity and disputes were settled with side arms on these dusty roads outside the old saloon.

Cuchillo is a small ghost town in the Southern New Mexico Desert, hidden in a small valley lies this little getaway. The Old Cuchillo Hotel has given shelter to travellers in the area for over a century, and is now available as a short or long term vacation rental in Southern New Mexico. The historic adobe structure was elegantly remodeled with sustainability and awareness in mind by Artist Josh Bond, and is elegantly decorated with art from many of the local artists. The Old Cuchillo Hotel is available as a 2 bedroom 1 bath fully furnished vacation rental and comes with everything you need to quickly get away from the real world for a rest. The Home can sleep 7 with 2 bedrooms, a south facing sunroom with a fold out futon, and also a fold out couch in the living room. The Beautifully refinished bathroom (which was once the entrance) has an amazing antique clawfoot tub and beautiful wood floors. The courtyard, which is wonderfully shaded, has outdoor seating, a small fire pit, gas grill, fountain, a hammock, a fig tree and a pear tree. Other amenities include Energy Efficient Washer/Dryer, Fridge, Dishwasher, DVD/VCR/TV, and a selection of movies. Perfect for an artist, actor, writer, or anyone to escape the city and relax.
